What are progressives and do I need them?
Progressive lenses, or multifocals, are lenses that have different zones of vision: the top section for distance and the lower section for reading.
As you look down, your eyes enter the progressive corridor where the prescription changes to full reading. Your lenses are now multi-purpose — you can see far (distance), intermediate (computer), and up-close (reading) — without needing to change or remove your glasses.
Progressives may require a bit of time to adapt to, but this is short lived because of today’s digital or high-definition lenses. Proper measurements are the most important part of the process. Progressives have become very sophisticated over the years and require more precise measurements. These measurements can ONLY be accomplished by qualified personnel using specialized equipment.
If you are finding it difficult to see comfortably at all distances, progressives may be for you. These lenses are the best way to simulate normal, full vision.
I encourage you to try them. Worried that you won’t like them? Well, we’ll back you up with a 90-day warranty. If anything is not to your liking, we will fix, replace or refund you.
Look forward to better vision.
